We currently run a BBS where we have a js file that pulls info off the synchronet software and passes to the js file, which in turn displayes a nodelist. Here users can view who is online. The link points to port 8080 and refreshes every 30 seconds. I am curious if the same could be applied to the TWGS? I don't want to install anything outside of the software if possible. Or is it possible a future release may have it? |

the Reverend has designed a script written in rexx that does this for the TWGS. It *is* 3rd party if thats what you meant? As of the current, I'm unaware of any update to the TWGS that does the same being planned. It's a simple procedure really. Design a webpage that logs onto the TWGS under a prepared Guest account and hits #. That or takes a snap-shot capture of the # display at scheduled intervals and updates a page with the latest. I was hoping that maybe a future version of the TWGS would allow the nodelist to be published to a page on our site. I suppose the script way will have to do. Thanks for the reply. Oh yeah. Check out the complete package of SysOp utils Reverend packaged up. It also contains a usefull script that in the same manner checks the CLV, V, and such. Good stuff! [^] |
