Ok, I registered for the Gold a couple of days ago and the code I got doesn't work. No responses to e-mail, so how do I get this resolved? The code is no good. It doesn't work.

John? Has anyone heard from Rick??? The War Room has been a ghost town of a site since mid last year. Where are ya Gyp? J.P. has been deep in production help w/ ex-TW Millenium now Exarch. Last conversation we had, thoughts were being put towards TWGS' next release. Hopefully this means he's planning to make his appearance with an update. Let's keep our fingers crossed. TWGS hasn't been abandoned yet so hang in there. As for the registration codes, have you tried various spelling? The codes are kinda funny and if your registered name isn't spelled the same (possible caps) then it could fail. Tried everything? write him back again. He'll get in touch with you to help ASAP. Goodluck!

Thanks.. I wrote him a few times already. The Gold is registered to Dragonsight.com and my TW code is registered to Dragon's Cove. So that could be a problem. However my TWGS works fine and is also registered to Dragonsight.com.

*sigh* I just want some gold :(

Try this, open the email with the reg codes in it, hightlight the entire email and right click and hit copy. Open your TWGS, click configure, then the register tab. There you will find a Paste Codes option. This will take the codes from your email you copied and paste them directly to your TWGS. I had the same problem with my codes and found there was a : I missed when I entered the codes. I beleive everything is case sensitive also so try this and see if it works.

I've heard from both JP and Gypsy in the last month - I know that JP has been extremely busy (check out www,tradewarsmovie.com, and yes, it is real).

Still not working. But I just saw the other guys message and he didn't even get codes! So I guess John is just away. Wish he had someone backing up his operation ;\

I agree. The handling of the registration codes is a small operation but still a business. Put those two statements together and its clear that paying a 3rd party to handle operations is not the best idea neither. TW is not a high profit gain rather a hobby of a pre-existing interest. I'm happy with John's work and how far he's carried it on. I'm almost positive he would never abandon the code to just nobody. If and when it comes time for a new , he will decide a new.

But, there could have been better notice of his "away" state and news that this would cause delays in processing, product support, and development.
So hang in there.

Dang. I agree, it would have been nice of him to have like a procmail vacation filter on his e-mail to let us know he'd be out for a while. I was seriously hoping to have my TWGS Server and TW Gold up and running fully by the first of the month. Money's paid, just no codes yet; I've never paid $80 for any piece of gaming software, but I loved TW2002 back in the day and wanted to have a copy of it myself. Maybe I picked the wrong time to do it?
