Sometime in the last 4 or 5 days, our Corporation lost it's entire stockpile of ships; several hundred IC's, ISS's, Colt's and a few Gunstars. I also lost all of my Personal ships except the ISS I was sleeping in. Game is V3.11.54. Is this a known bug in the program, or would it have to a munual edit by the Sysop? We lost every ship that didn't have a player sleeping in it. The ships seem to be back at StarDock, available for purchase. These ships were stockpiled in about 20 different sectors in 5 separate bubbles. All that was lost was ships, not planets or sector figs. |

This could not have been caused by a corp mate for the following reasons: 1. I lost all of my stockpile of Personal ships as well as the corporate ones. 2. I asked around to the other CEO's and it happened to at least one of the other Corps in the game. I am starting to wonder if the SHIPS.DAT file for this game was deleted or corrupted somehow. It looks like at least 700 ships of all types that were owned by players or Corps were "repossessed" by the Feds. I say that because the ship numbers were cleared and all those ships are back at StarDock and available to be purchased. |

I think I recall something of that error in data from version 54. This would be a good reason to ask your sysop to get version 55. Alot of other fixes were made in version 55. Just another reason for your sysop to keep up with the most current version of a software package. Is it possible the sysop used the remove derelict spacecraft command? Whether on purpose or by complete accident? I am not saying thats what has happened just a thought. |
