Started playing a game a few days after it rebanged recently. Feds are destroying corp figs here and there in sectors which are not msl, but messages say that they are msl.

Anyone else come across this before?

Are you absolutely sure the sectors in questions are not in MSLs?

A note for those who don't know how to identify MSL sectors (Major Space Lanes)

Goto Sec 1
Plot course to StarDock, those are all MSLs
Plot course to the other Class 0 ports, those are also all MSLs

Goto SD
Plot course back to Sec 1, those are MSLs (in case of one way warps)
Plot course to the other Class 0 ports, those are also all MSLs

Goto each of the Class 0 ports (besides Sec 1)
repeat process for each of them.

....as you can see, it is easy to have 12 MSLs each with 6 to 12 sectors between them (depending on how large and spread out the universe is) for a total of 72 to 144 sectors each idntified as MSL sectors![:0]

Kav: are you sure that the sectors are the same in each direction, and not different because of backdoors?

The Major Space Lanes are these sectors:

The sectors on the route from:

Sol/Terra to Stardock
Stardock to Sol/Terra

Stardock to Alpha Centauri
Alpha Centauri to Stardock

Stardock to Rylos
Rylos to Stardock

Alpha Centauri to Rylos
Rylos to Alpha Centauri

Note that these pairs appear to be redundant. They aren't necessarilly since the route may be different each way due to backdoors.

As far as I know, the routes between Sol/Terra to/from Alpha Centauri and the routes between Sol/Terra to/from and Rylos are NOT Major Space Lanes. Somebody else can correct me if I'm wrong. I'd test it myself, but I don't have a test game enabled, and I don't want to kick people offline to enable one.

Zentock - he was correct. You really should test something to make sure you're right before telling someone else they are wrong.
