I have a question. Is there anyway using TWGS 1.01 Rev 55 to limit the number of BBS and/or game users to 1 unique player per connected IP address? I know there is a setting in Configuration, Settings (Limit one user per IP) that I have turned on, however... 1) I have been able to create login to BBS as multiple users from the same IP, and 2) I have been able to create multiple players in the games from the same IP. Thanx! -=- Spencer -=- |

A common solution to this problem is to add a BBS front end (such as Synchronet SBBS) and force a "Registration" process that will ensure that only one account per person is created. Currently, as I understand it, under TWGS there is no way to do this. I use Synchronet as my front end but only because I also want to offer LORD and BRE. Hope that helps. [:D] |

That is, two players with the same IP can't be connected at once, but the same IP can have multiple accounts that they access one at a time. There is no twgs setting to limit it to one game account per IP. |

Didn't somebody make a TWX script for sysops to spot dupes? |

I am not sure where you can get any these. If you are interested, someone in the sysop forum might be able to help you |
