Im running TW GOLD, I launch a Big Bang and tick carry over the GOLD features, After the big bang, 2 Ferrengi homeworlds appear in the game.
1 the ferringi homeworld that reminds me of the non-gold version
2 the ferringi homeworld surrounded by ferringi sectors (gold)

Could you please advise.

Cheers

Alex

I believe that you probably have classic ferrengi turned on in the editor menu g or h or I. I don't remember which menu it is in :)

By default, the regular (Classic) Ferrengal will exist. However, if you disable internal alien/Ferrengi processing (which automatically happens when you enable Gold features unless you turn it back on), there won't be any Classic Ferrengi running around in ships. They'll be replaced by the Gold Ferrengi. The Ferrengal Classic planet never goes above level 3 and never gets very strong. Gold Ferrengal's traits are dependent on the settings.

I don't know if a switch exists to remove Classic Ferrengal from the game. You can go into the Planet Editor (Option N), and into submenu Planet Flags (Z), and make the planet inactive which will remove it from the game. If you do that, you'll also want to go into the sector editor and clear out the Nebulae (name of the sector, in this case "The Ferrnengi Empire", the marker beacon "No trespassing hooman!", and the mines and fighters that may exist.

Well the internal ferrengi were disabled but the planet was still there, guess its a manual job.

Alex,

This is a carry over form the original v1.xx and v2.xx door versions. As there was no GOLD Ferringi. Big Bang placed the Ferringi Home World randomly in the universe. When in v3.xx of the door version came out. There was the new GOLD features, including GOLD Ferringi. But, what was not done was to setup in BigBang for it not to place the internal(non-gold) Ferringi Home World, when you set the game to use GOLD Aliens and Ferringi.

The only way to take care of this. Is to use Tedit to remove the internal Ferringi Home World. Before the server is re-started. It is planet #2 in Tedit. Just delete this planet. Once that is done, and you restart your server. The GOLD Ferringi will create their Home World somewhere in the universe. And you will not have to Ferringi Home Worlds.

If you did not deleted the Ferringi Home World, planet #2, before the server was restarted. You can still do so after words. But, it is best if it was done before any players logged into the game. As it will save you alot of problems from your players.

I wish that JP could add some code to fix this in BigBang.
