I am running this door under windows 2002 sp3 and using telsrv/gamesrv/netfoss. The door is using %100 cpu whenever it is sending information to the user. This situation makes it almost impossible to have more than one person at a time using the board. Has anyone else had these problems with the dos version, and did they find any resolutions?

Thanks

There is a dos utility called tame that will handle timeslicing for you. It works. If you need more info about it send me an email at poison@memphistw.org

tame had no affect on the amount of cpu the program uses while it is sending data. I tried the newest version, and it had zero affect. As a side note, the fossil I am using gives up time slices very well when the door is idle, and the author is going to work on making it give up slices while it is sending.

Apon futher investigation, it only seems to hit %100 cpu usage during an auto-warp sequence. Right at the point the game is causing/doing some type of delay, to make the sequence run slower.

Problem has been solved by changing the ship size movement delay option to NONE. Any other setting, causes %100 cpu usage during the hop/pause phase. (H / Y in tedit)
