Anyone know a good place to find some info on good ideas for custom races, ships and planets? Kinda a summary (in comparable TWEdit factors) of a custom game type that was cool?

To me the main benifit of the TWGS is to create custom games and accessories but I'm having trouble finding a good resource or place to discuss these things.

I had some very fun times on a good custom game a while back and was trying to find more info about this sorta thing. I would just think that you could have add some well balanced, well designed races, ships and planets to a game that could attempt to make the game have a bit more depth.

To answer your question. No, there is no such place to get the information you want. As no one has, atleast non of the major TWGS server sysops, have created such a place/document. They will all tell you that you either edit by trial and error. Or to get a game from someone that has already created one, that is if the person is willing to let you have it.


As to editing a game. Just see what works and what doesn't. See what your players like and dislike about the game. And go from there.


I am just like many sysops out there. Having to do it the by trial and error.
