 Getting mugged in the underground

Does anyone know when the mugging "flag" resets so that I may get mugged again to lose xp, rather than getting murdered? I'm getting bored of guessing and testing!

Mugged -> extern -> password wrong = murdered
Mugged -> midnite -> passwrod wrong = murdered
Mugged -> extern -> midnite -> password wrong = mudered
Mugged -> midnite -> extern -> password wrong = murdered

Is it like 24hrs or something? or do you ahve to log out at some appropriate time?
