I am tired of trying to get this to work. Am I doing something wrong here?

When you go to http://www.twroute66.com it brings up my page but when you look at the address bar where you typed in the url once the page loads it shows my server ip address.

I tried adding it to the host file, still didnt work. I dont have dns installed. Didnt think I needed it since it is only 1 computer..

Someone told me I can click a option to hide ip since I use IIS. I havent tried that, but dont recall ever seeing it in the IIS options.


I run Windows 2k advance server with IIS. I got my name from http://www.godaddy.com. Dont know if maybe they shafted me. Who knows.

Any input would be appreciated.
