Is there information available about the database formats used by TW? Has anyone done addons for the latest version? I've never seen them. Mods and addons would add a lot to the game. Has EIS ever thought about publishing a spec about how to access the database and modify it? ------------------------- badboy@goosemoose.com ICQ# 105123166 Download your free helper today! Has EIS ever thought about publishing a spec about how to access the database and modify it? To my knowledge EIS will not be releasing any "database hack sheets," for lack of a better term. Bottom line is, is if the database is not read and written to from within the game, using the game engine's file system, you will sooner or later start running into corruption issues. This is very similar to the reason that the Alien AI kit has not been released. The code has been in place since the door version of the game was released under the Martech Software banner, but the game itself had enough corruption issues that EIS was unwilling to release an AI kit that would cause even more serious corruption.
