Are there any plans to modify the access lists to allow certain IP blocks into certain games and not others? I'm hoping I'm not the only one who wants to do this, but I'm looking to set up multiple game for a few different areas and I can mask the area by IP. I could set up the game so I have to create the user, but that makes more work for me. It would be nice to say that this class C can access game A and C, and these class c's can access game B and all IP's can access game D...
I don't think it would be that hard to put into the code... I know I haven't seen the code, but it seems like a pretty simple fix to me... (unless, of course, we start worrying about spoofing and all sorts of other security concerns within the game)

Does anyone have any interest in doing anything like this?

Yes, that may be a very good idea. When you have a person that should only be playing in the wide open games but keeps coming in the ones that playing like that is not accepted, the only recourse we have now is to lock them completely out. Hey, they aren't at fault here. Stupidity isn't against the law. Once you figure it out, lock them out of the other games but allow them into the games more suited for their playing style.

It's not only that.. I have an instance where I would like to allow fellow employees to play a private game. I also don't want other people to see that game or even know it exists... Or how about a test game? I'd rather not have anyone see it, let alone be able to access it... Just knowing something is there raises questions that, while I don't mind answering, aren't something I want to answer hundreds of times. I think IP Access Lists would solve that. Now, I may be in a unique situation and possibly be the only one doing this, so it may not be something that EIS wants to put in the game... But, I think it would be a great enhancement..

I can see your reasoning for this .. Unlike the other chap's reasoning .. Maybee you should ask JP about it or run two twgs's or even look into a bbs front end that can pass username and login prompt to the twgs..

You could set up a closed game with only the player you want to play able to access the game. Also you don't have to have the game show up on the TWGS game menu.
