I have been running the RogueGalaxy TWGS for many years and it has been kind of "off the radar (or lidar)" for a while due to the fact that I have not kept up with TWGS upgrades. Mostly, I did this because of the custom shipyard and custom ship delivery system I had worked out. I am wondering what the other sysops would recommend I use going forward.. knowing that I have to go through some pain to upgrade my custom code as well.

Specifically.. should I use the last official release of 2.20b? Or, does it make more sense to ask JP to get me his latest Beta? Are updates happening pretty regularly now?

The last release was March 5th, 2012 and does not include the new Botlink Feature. Maybe you can talk JP into letting you beta test Botlink for him. It would make the type of modifications you have done much easier.

The Beta release was handed out so sparingly .. and good reason ..
I only had a few things like html support for telnet login

And to note .. it has some run time problems , I took it down and went back to 2.20b

Thanks for the replies. I am currently backing up that entire machine and looking at exporting the game data. Aside from the twa exports.. wasn't there an admin script someone came up with to export Gold ship data? I spent a lot of time on ship design and would like to see that in a readable format via export. I have done some searching on the forum but I am coming up empty. I don't remember what they called so no surprise there Any help would be appreciated.

I put a script pack (twx proxy scripts) called So_Pack together that allows
changing star dock location and an Ansi maker for ships and planets
for players to see in game ...

On the new version of twgs - I see that you can set individual admin passwords per game. But, is the overall server admin password gone now? I don't see a form field for it like in the old version.

The Sysop Admin password is on the Config screen. You have to stop the server to view that.

Actually, John moved it... It is in the command center now. On the Config tab, click the Server Settings button. You do not have to stop the server.

I know, that says sysop, and it should say game-op. The config tab sysop pword is for the remote game-op.
