It was running as a service. I stopped it from the menu and restarted and it didn't fix it.
After reading your post I stopped the service and restarted and it looks like I'm in business.

Not sure where to put this, so sorry if its in the wrong section. Just got TWGS and I'm playing around with the unregistered version. I made a new ship and I'm trying to get an ANSI picture to display with it, I've edited the defaults and I end up getting a lot of blank space below the picture and above the ship stats, same if I make one from scratch. I'm guessing its the format, I'm using the draw and I'm not sure how to save it, I just choose Ansi. Also, is it possible for me to spiff up the log in screen where you type A for game A or # for players online,etc. I've seen other servers with nice screens at this point and mine is all text. Thanks, Edit the ANSI file in a text editor and you will see what TheDraw is doing to you on that. You might have to play with it a bit. I believe the file you are looking for the TWGS is intro.ans. |

Sweetness. Thanks for the reply, with a few edits I got it looking like I wanted. Greatly appreciate it. The Intro.ANS I'm still confused with. I assumed that was it, but I never see that screen anywhere. I just get a text screen with A # ! and Q on it. I've messed with the setting under Server Settings Start up Menu unchecking default and naming different ANS files to try, I get no changes. |

Looking at the code, I see that it requires that you have a registration code in order to use the intro ansi file. That's an oversight, left over from before TWGS v2 with its free single-node license. I'll change that for the next release. |

IIRC, if you just save a file in TheDraw it saves the whole page. There's also a way to save a selection, i.e., click-drag a small area of the screen and save only that. |

Did you exit the server and restart? I see that it won't display the intro ansi unless you exit and restart the server after turning off the default intro display. That's a bug and I'll fix it for the next release. |

JP, Similar thing with the Admin password for the server. If it's disabled and you check it you still cannot change the password from admin until you stop the service and restart it. |
