Well I say new, I hosted a tradewars game way back during the 2600 baud days. Needless to say a few things have changed. I have 2 problems I need to figure out 1) Connection speed. WHen people connect to my newly created game the connection seems sluggish. I tested it over the LAN and even it was sluggish. It is almos like the bandwidth is being restricted. If so, is there any way to fix this? 2) Custom Ships. We (my buddy and I who started this venture) made a custom ship, however when you go to buy it or examine the ship specs, it is not listed. How do you fix this? Thanks in advance |

Roll...forgive me if I'm getting to this post a little late, but I'm sure at the time I expected someone else to answer some of this. 1) So connection speed..do you mean the actual game speed? Pings? Did you start up a game and not set the 'delays' to zero? Is the server up so we can maybe jump in test it? 2) There is a setting to enable custom ships...I'll do some searching, but hopefully someone else will jump in as I bump this.... Edit: Ok, found the post where you got the answers: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=22507&p=188406&hilit=custom+ships#p188406 Are you still hosting? Have you already found the answers to your questions? |

The custom ship setting is I believe on "page 5" of the Gold Ship editor. You need to set it to "Active", also you must set the Deployment to "General". I will try and get a screenshot posted here for you from my server sometime this weekend if you still need it. |
