I see Runaway Proton is running Vaders edits. I am wondering if he has all the aliens working. Has anyone else ran his edits , KISS , KISS II , Seth , Seth II and had the aliens work right ? I had problems first few times running them. And think I found the problems , there were many but I think I nailed the main one , it is due to the setting anomalous aliens - set to no ... and all seem to be ok. I did change a few others things , but this seemed to be the only one that makes sence , maybe because there are no ships set for the anomalous alien maybe ? I tried to get J.P. to look at edit to give me a clue on why they we jamming up and not working or giving me a data error. This is my fix , they seem to work right .. let me know how other sysops are doing with these edits. Hope this helps. |

I didnt' have to make any changes, and as far as I know all the aliens are running fine. At least nobody has told me otherwise. |

You are on the View Alien Manager , checks the alien servers and it should show you Initializing .... Loading XXX active races ... Server Initialization complete. and in the lower right corner Running ... XXX active alien races are they the same XXX ?? And if not , then enter games and type # would show all the active aliens but the internal ones. Another way would be in the Alien manager we were just in , it would show activity of the gold aliens in each game. I'll check back. |

Sometimes I think Gold Aliens are almost human. They are like a bad corpie, you can almost never get them to do what they want to do, and they are always doing things to piss you off. |

Wonder if this why I experienced a huge lag in your kiss game? Many times my scripts wont work at all. I can get my gridder to work, but it seems to work in bursts... Freezes for a number of minutes.... then the messages catch up, and it works for a few mins, only to lag again. I contributed it to the distance I am from the server. (lag isnt something new with your site, but you arent right next door either...) But this was even out of what I have learned to expect. Do you think this has something to do with the problem you are refering, or is it completely my crappy service provider? |
