 Sysop flag in user editor

Unread post Sysop flag in user editor
Just wondering what the "Sysop?" flag in the user editor is supposed to do? What benefits does it give when it's set to Yes?

Not 100% certain, but did it not give SysOps access to tedit in the DOS version? I have seen nothing spectacular, except when making an announcement the SysOp can change who it's from, etc.
