Well actually the title is missleading because for now I am keeping the server to just me while I learn and grow out of the noob sysop status.

I have two questions for the more tenured sysop's out there.

1) What service would you recomend for name resolution to my Ip?
2) I have found the twa DB project however I cant seem to find a edit that was around about a year ago when I played more activly on the public server. I'm looking for a good BORG (Star Trek) edit if one exists?

Thank You
-Kaus

There are links to edits at various places all on my website at http://www.runawayproton.com if it might help.
For your ip question, you want to register a domain, or just have something point to your ip address. I'd suggest one of the following:
http://www.register4less.com/
http://www.no-ip.com/
Thank you I decided to go with No-ip for when the time comes. I also found the TWA I was looking for, as a heads up two of your links are dead.
Thanks Again,

Hey Kaus

I used dyndns for my service. They interface directly with my linksys
router and it seems to work pretty well.

I guess I'm lost as to what you are referancing. I also use a linksys router I updated my forwarding within the router to use the port I specified for the server and I can connect to it. Is there other issues with linksys routers I should know about? Ive been going through all the old post's (takes awhile) so I dont ask the same questions twice and to see what the common "best" settings are.

I am running ISP off with a command cycle of 14 and no turn delay on 5 TWA's I DL'd. Outside of individual game settings I'm hoping I havnt missed anything for my own personal use. I'm looking to find a server to put this onto, so I don't have to share system reasources as Ive read that is the biggest lag promoter for the server.

I might have misunderstood what you were asking. I registered my
domain with dyndns. they look after pointing the name servers to my
dynamic ip address of my router. The router informs dyndns when my
dynamic ip changes and the name servers are updated so my domain
always points to the proper ip address. Not sure if that was the ifo you
were after or not.

Cheers

I've been working on my site today, but all should be restored now.
