i had reg'd TWGS lite. succeful reg on the twgs...
in Sept 07 i upgraded to Gold Codes.
....installed them on my laptop, ran twgs games fine...Gold Codes were accepted in the G (gen edit 1)...
all was well..until...
i decided to use a server i had sitting around..a Dell Gx250 XP box......spec'd out..

my prob is: i pasted the lite codes, it shows Registered when you log into a game...
BUT..BUT..
when i goto Tedit.. G ....my Gold codes show RED ..like they are no good..so I press      W
enter my codes..it tells me...Sorry, you do not have Gold codes"....

am starting to get pissed...! and not with Ale!!!

Actually you will need Three Codes

One for the TW2002 Game itself
One for the Gold Edition
One for the TWGS.

Register the Game First
Then Enter your Gold Codes.

Last the TWGS.

It could be case sensitive too. So Yes Copy Paste for Sure on the TWGS Code.

Anything else, you will have to contact JP to verify the codes are correct.
Give him the Current Codes via email and explain that it not taking them.
At that point he can Verify it for you and reply back.

the Registration code does show 'green' in my Tedit G at the top of screen.. but the Gold is red...

Remove all twgs and tradewars software from the target machine.
Start the entire installation process over from the beginning, this should set you right.
Sucks but sometimes even established twgs have to have an enema.

The codes are correct, because they worked on the first machine, sometimes you have to use the copy and paste to get them in, also on the copy and paste, when you copy make sure the highlight doesn't go past the beginning letter and the ending letter, cause twgs and the the tw2002 program takes the spaces as characters, and will not let the code through as legal register codes.

also the twgs has a function on it to paste the codes directly from the clipboard when you highlight all codes on the reg Email, then paste from the clipboard to the game to get codes active. Even here you need to make sure that there is no space from the beginning letter of the first code and the ending letter of the last code, all else in between will be automatic.
