I have a Nuke-Evolution based website and I would like to setup access to TW from there.
There are a couple of JAVA based telnet clients out there that should run from within Nuke-Evolution, but I am new to the whole process.
I would like everything to run standalone on the server, and not have to have ppl messing about with different telnet clients.
Has anyone setup something like this on PHP-BB or Nuke-Evolution, and if so, how?
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Well you might be able to install a java telnet client and have it access a backend server, but that's going to be mighty slow and nobody would have access to their favorite helper functions.
Go to the site in my sig and you'll see how you can design a front end for a server. Tradervic's too, at tradervicstw.com
You'll find that we don't really provide direct access, but instead just setup a subdomain to point to the server and use the telnet:// link as a suggestioin.
But you can't install the server itself, obviously, on the machine without admin access (assuming a win box, I don't think anyone's managed to get twgs working on linux).

OK... thanks for your help.
I will be browsing the sites you mentioned to check out what is available...
I am very new to this so I appreciate the "Why's and Wherefores".
(As I was considering just setting this up at home on an XAMPP box I guess thats the route to go... Though I'll have to go the Windows route if Linux setup is trouble.)

Well I've never known anyone to get a linux server up and running... but then again I don't know many that have tried, either.
Xampp is easy, vulcan has that running for his forums and I think it's the same machine his server is on.

It is, I have a Windows front on the server and apache on the back end on the server for the forums and other things. Eleq had something on Stardock one time about a program that would let TWGS run on a linux system. I have to check that.

I would appreciate any info about running on a Linux system as I have a couple of stable boxes up and running in my home lab right now that I could re-task if it is possible.
If not, I can always reset one with Windows as I have a few copies of 2kServer lying around gathering dust.

Here is the excerpt for the linux usage on the TWGS
TWGS Runs Under Linux
Tradewars News Posted on 2006-06-29 by EleqTriziT.
I just verified it yesterday. The newest copy of WINE will fire up the TWGS and run it. I didn't do extensive performance testing, but it seems to be plenty fast. This was done under Kubuntu Linux.
Here is the page link to it on TheStardock.com
http://www.thestardock.com/index.pl?offset=1
it is halfway or so down the page, read and click the links to get what is needed.
