Hi all. Just returning to Tradewars after a couple of years off. I am trying to bang local games to use on my system, script testing, etc. I get partway through the big bang, then I get a bunch of messages rapid fire and then big bang quits. I am not getting anything in the error logs telling why. Any ideas what the problem is? I am running Windows XP wih SP2. I was able to bang games on this system just fine previously. I have version 1.0155 and version 1.0300 both installed on my system, can you do this - have multiple versions of the server on your system? If so, does it have to be done in any special way? Or must I pick one version or the other to have on the system? Thanks for any help, Steve

You sure the bang isn't just finishing successfully? The window doesn't stick around when the bang is done, and once the bang starts it displays a lot of stats about what's going on with the bang quite quickly.
As for the versions, you definitely just want to use the latest (1.03/3.13). Older versions of the game had exploitable bugs, but the latest version AFAIK is free of those.

Xentropy, I don't believe the game was banging successfully. Whenever the Big Bang window disappeared, the only button accessible was the Big Bang button. The other buttons, such as Editors, were grayed out and inaccessible.
I did unistall both versions of the TWGS and then just reinstalled the 1.0300 version, and after that I got a good big bang, the other buttons were accessible and I was able to edit my game. Thanks for the answers on my question, I appreciate it.

Okay then remove the older version of the game, and try that, it may be interferring with the newer version. Normally there can only be one TWGS on the computer at a time, unless you have a Virtual O/S installed and have the other in it. When two TWGS are on one computer without a Virtual O/S, it causes problems. Try that suggestion and see if it helps.

No problem anytime, if you need more help, ask any sysop or post in the sysops corner, You may have to get with Zentock for access, or let one of the admins know, and we can setup the access for you. You can also post in the regular sysop forums too and get help.
