OK, my typical routine for banging a game is this:
Take TWGS down
Bang games that require it
I run a macro that sets up certain peramaters that remain the same every game, part of this macro closes the game.
I verify that the game is closed (H menu)
I continue this for every game required
I backup new games
I start TWGS for play.
I then can make any edits required to the games like stocking colos or adjustments that need to be made.
At given time I open the game for play (macro h[nqq )
I've got two games this cycle that show open, but nobody can log into.  I've never had this happen, and don't know how to fix it save banging it again, but I'd like to understand what's gone wrong.
Any Help?

In a situation like that, if you bang a game and import from the last game as before, you may have ended up with a corrupt file. I had that a couple of times where I rebanged a game and told it to use settings from that same game. After the rebang, I put the TWGS back up and that game could not be accessed. When I went to check it out via TEDIT, that's where I discovered the error with the Aliens.dat file.

Players generally can't login if the aliens.dat file is corrupt, the twmail.dat is over-bloated, or do not have an account on a closed game.

Thanks Thrawn.  I deleted the game and re-imported a fresh .twa file, banged and all is well.  Was just strange.  But players are happy  once again.
