What is the best way to eliminate Spam Users who post objectionable websites from logging into my server. I end up deleting about 20 names every day.

Add some spam controls and additional user reg steps. Most of those come from automated robots so if you do something to mess up the robot...

There's a whole host of spam control mods for phpbb if that's what you're using. Google for phpbb mods, you'll find em.

Also on a side note Sage, some of the newer spam bots can crack the extra login stuff that the captia puts in to stop bots. I am having the same issues, but now have went to running a couple of different captia's on my test forum to see if they are going to work if they work then will put the combined setup on my forums, I have a captia on it now but it don't get all the spam, so have went to admin approval option, I now screen the requests and either deny or approve of them myself now.

Most are still spam

Most spam is form spam, posting directly to your post URL. There's a mod that adds a tag to messages and then won't accept posts unless it has that tag, this eliminates automated form spam.

It's important, also, to use a silent denial. If you say "You've been banned because of spam!" their prog can use that and make a new account. If it doesn't tell them, their prog won't know it wasn't posted.

The spam words option is also nice. You'll notice that 90% of your spam is for the same set of products. If you deny posting to people w/ those words in combination w/ any kind of link then you know it's spam.
