well, a buddy of mine has been running the bbs version of tw2002. he's been having issues with his connection so i decided to buy the tw2002 twgold and 4 nod twgs. i have installed the game and entered the reg codes. i have started a new game and did the big bang thing. when i try to telnet to the server it gives me only 3 choices.

what am i doing wrong?
maybe someone can help me or point me to some instructions on how to fix the problem. seems im not to good at finding good info.

Did you take the server off-line, bring up the Configuration menu Game tab and assign the game a description and menu-letter, and bring the server back on-line?

hehe ya i did. but knowing me that woulda been a mistake that i woulda made. i have gone thru what i think are all of the features (tho i dont know how to access the gold features if they are built it). also, when i hit the help button it says that it cant find the help files. if i do need to download twgold seperatly, where do i download it at? the twgold site is broken.

Have you downloaded installed the Gold Tools yet? it is located at the very bottom of the page on this link.

In the Configuration Games tab, is the name of your game being displayed? Are you sure u have that game displayed in the Description at the bottom when you selected the menu letter? Also, you have the Inactive box unchecked as well, right? In Editor 2, '[' for "Closed Game" do you have that set to No?

Also check that you are hitting the game port not the admin port.

grr iv been struggling with this problem 4 a while now and im very angry at my box. starting to think that i waisted the 60 bucks

Out of curiousity you do have max nodes not set to 0 under Configure->Settings right?

You might have wasted your 60 bucks, but not by buying twgs, but by only buying 4 nodes
