Okay I tried the microsux link, and it said page not found, but no problem, try uninstalling twgs and reinstalling it, also make sure the ports to it are open on the server, and make sure the telnet server is stopped. also there are some port settings that are checked that are blocked, and if you uncheck the right setting it will be unblocked. I have to look at my server to see which ones I opened and which ones I took off block. I will post back when I find out what I think you need, but for now uninstall the twgs and reinstall it and set it up not as a service and let it run, you wont be able to log off to keep it running but when you click the x in the upper right corner it will disconnect that connection with the server still running the program in it. Only draw back is it lets only 2 admin connections on at a time. And if one admin account is running the twgs the others won't be able to access it and it run on the same port, so you all have to agree on one account for all you to log on and run the twgs from. or the main admin have access to the T Edit. This is something you have to work out between you all. But like I said uninstall twgs and reinstall it and set the reg stuff up on it and make sure you stop the telnet server, you will find it in services in the administrative tools. I will check my port settings and tell you what to set to open and what to set to block, and tell you where to find them. |

OK I tried to install it as a service. Now whenever I run TWGS I get a second dialog box with a dos simulator command prompt. I cant enter anything and can't make it close without shutting down the TWGS. |

That's what I was talking about it not working right as a service, the twgs will work tho, but you will not have access to the GUI. That's why I am running it on my server 2003 like I am, I don't have it as a service, What you need to do being that you have a Sysop and multiple co-sysops, is this, you make a Admin account that you all three can log on to, and run the twgs from it, and don't log off from the connection, just close the window. It will disconnect you from the server, but it will keep the twgs running. Try that, and see if it helps. |
