Aliens dont enter fig sectors???

Ok, i know 3.09 hasnt been used for awhile..and is not supported..im not asking for professional technical support. I am asking for help if anyone knows gold aliens from 3.09, yeah way back then. I never get aliens hitting my figs, wether they are defensive, offensive or toll. Never. So did a test. I surrounded stardock with 1 fig in each sector. Then some aliens warped into stardock without touching my figs...ok so there is a backdoor in, but not out, i am aware of that. However these aliens WONT MOVE! They will not leave, as soon as i take one fig out, they leave! What is up with that?
