Perhaps you could share the details of how you got it working, in case other people on here ask about it and sift through the old posts? I know I've seen this question posted before several times, not necessarily on this forum, but either way the information would surely be appreciated. [;)]

Yes, could you post how ya did it. I have been trying to set up dynamic IP forwarding to my TWGS that's running on cable and haven't been able to figure it out yet. (running it through a linksys router as well). Thanks in advance.

As Requested : Direction for seting up TWGS to run with Linksys Router For WinXP
1. acquire IP adress for computer on local network
a. Go to start menu.
b. Go to Run - Type Cmd
2. In DOS prompt - Type ipconfig
a. Look for "IP Address.......192.168.1.XXX"
b. Look for "Default Gateway....192.168.x.x"
c. remember XXX
d. remember x.x
3. Access router Controlls
a. Open Internet Explorer and type 192.168.x.x (default gate way)
b. Enter User name and password (Default UN:Admin PW:password)
If you have messed with this and can not remember.
1. On router Press and hold Reset button(don't letgo till i say)
2. After 30 Seconds Unplug Router
3. Countinue to hold reset for 2 min.
4. Let go
5. Plug router back in... Go to back to Access router controll
c. Change Router Password to somthing you can remember (if you have not)
d. Click on Tab that Says "Applicationss & Gaming"
1. if you do not have this tab i beleve there is updated router software you have to get (they updated mine a while back when I was having problems with my cable modem)
e. Click pn Sub-Tab that says "UPnP Fowarding"
f. You should see a list that looks like :
"Application Ext.Port TCP UDP Int.port IP Addresss Enable"
telnet 23 *(TCP) 23 0 *
g. In IP Adress Type XXX from step 2.c
h. At the botom of the list there should be a Box where you can add your own applications - Type
Admin 2003 *(TCP) 2003 XXX(2.c) *
i. Click Save Setting at the Bottom.
Enjoy.... PS for a cable modem or DSL that does not have a dynamic IP address, I really suggest TZO software for Dynamic IP adress Fowarding.. 30 Day free trial and like 24.99 a year..

Is that UPnP forwarding as in Universal Plug and Play? o.O For those with older Linksys routers, under the Advanced Configuration tab if I'm remembering correctly, is where you set up port forwarding. Instructions are similar to above. For Cayman routers, the place to set it up is under the Configuration area, Advanced section, and then set up 'pinholes' for the ports in question.
