 Alien Homeworlds
Here is another question on Alien Homeworlds - Applause! [:(!]
I have a new game with 3 active gold races. The game has been banged and it is now day 2. Before I open the game to players, I wanted to move the alien races (non-ferrengi) into specific bubbles. My question is this: is using TEDIT to move the homeworlds to the desired sector all I have to do? Will the aliens leave the homeworld where I place it and begin to fortify it there? Also, are the beacons that describe the Alien territory a bigbang only thing, or will the beacons begin to show up in the new bubble after I move the planet?
I plan to play with this anyway, but if you have any info that will save me some time it is much appreciated.

You can physically move the planets using t-edit but there is no way to move their space, aka their spawning area. The planet will just sit there and do nothing if you move it, it will finish any upgrades it is doing and other than that will work like any other planet left in open space, they will not know where it is and will not build it up from there. Unfortunately by using gold bubbles you are only asked if you want to put Ferrengal in a bubble, not the other aliens unless JP decides to add that as another feature <shameless feature plug>. Basicly unless the alien planets are left where they were originally spawned then they are like any other planet in the game and the aliens wont defend it.

well u can change the name of space to what you want, but the aliens will stay where they are put at big bang no matter what you do, heh. i would say dont move the aliens, the closest thing u could do would be to manually change the warps into a bubble of your specification, but i wouldnt advise that without studying all the warps you are changing well to make sure you dont make any black holes or mess anything up.
