Is there a way to get the games to log a bit more info in them? For example, it does log the users logging into our server, out, etc. It shows when they've been destroyed, by whom, etc. Could it log where they were destroyed?

The reason I ask is some of our games have a Neutral Zone for the newbies. All Fed Space is safe for players, and apparantly someone broke the rule and wiped someone out while in Fed Space. It was a good that destroyed an evil. It would be of help if we can log where they were destroyed.

However, here is something I missed as well. If I use Fed Space for Neutral Zone, what happens to the evils? Do they get attacked from the Feds? Is it better to pick a couple empty sectors to make as Neutral Zones? I ask only because I was told a good player dropped figs where an evil player was parked. Then one of the Feds came in, destroyed the figs, and attacked the evil. Is this possible? Meanwhile, the evil player was in Fed Space, flees to a sector where the good player was and gets destroyed.

Any input is a help to make a fair game.

Ok while posting this message I ran a test on a game to see if in fact the events I listed could happen. The results were that the Fed ship came in and attacked the figs in Fed Space, but did not attack the evil player. So I guess we can leave the Fed Space as Neutral Zone, unless there is someone that knows for a fact the Feds attack evils too.

It be nice with the logging feature to log the sector the player was destroyed in.

here are a few facts:
1)if you attempt to lay a fig in fedspace, you will lose xp/holds (i believe 10%)
2)the only way to get attacked by a fed, is by attacking him
3)if the reds dont want to die, tell their monkey asses to cloak in fed
4)a red, in fed, is dead. having a "neutral zone" just means that you will have arguements like this on your hands.
5)i believe if you go into tedit, and look at the player who died, it should say either the sector he died, or the last sector he was in (which i would imagine, if he is dead, would be the same)
6)thats all i got for now..

I agree with your reply. It does present an argument. We were only trying to make the game so the new players stood a chance. However, I ran a test scenario and the result was:

The fed destroyed the figs dropped
The evil still remained in Fed space and was not attacked.

So they would be safe unless the Feds attack only certain evils, but I maxed the moral rankings but the exp is only at 250k. Does the experience influence a Fed attacking an evil?

However, you've given us something to think about.
