I whipped up a script today to create a warpdata file. I needed to test a script in a 20k universe game, but didn't wanna ZTM..hehe

Also useful for those sysops who would like to provide their users with a warpdata file so the game can get started right away. I know some players who don't play 20k games 'cause they don't like to ZTM them. Well, now you can pass out the warpdata to them! ;)

Anyho', check it out on the site I'm bulding... http://tradewars.wotok.com

Won't it work as well to log in as your observer with your helper, and then just do a CIM of sector data (since an observer has all sects explored) then just save it in .twx format? I am a noob sysop and was just playing around with TWGS and seeing what the observer could do, and thought of that.

Will that work, or am I missing something?

Heh, that't work too. Didn't know abou the observer being 100% explored. :P Yea, could do cim report, then just export warpdata to file.

I use ATTAC and did the export to a txt file, seemed to work great and only took a couple minutes. All you need to do is log in as an observer, have your helper do a sect. data CIM, and export. I suppose you could also have all the port data handy as well. I'll have to throw up a couple stock games with data available when I'm a little more learned in respect to TWGS and being a sysop.

Might be just as easy to run the warpdata script as it is to create an ambassador account, login, cim and export. :P
