I'm setting up a game. I've never done so using TWGS, and in fact, it occurs to me I've never banged a GOLD game in my life. My first attempt succeeded but when I logged into the game there were no warps out of the sector I was in. Where the sector warps should appear was the word NONE in red.

I then realized that my rebang was messed up, so I rebanged. This time the rebang ran normally, however, when I attempt to get into the game I cannot.

I get the following error logs

I guess, I just downloaded it off the EIS site this morning. Ya probably.

After 3 rebangs it finally worked.

The first Attempt loaded a game that I could get into, but it did it without your normal screen configurations, you know, where you watch it constructing the universe, poking holes in bubbles etc. I thought that was odd but figured you'd done away with that. But no, when I entered the game there were no warps to go to.

I then rebanged, using the existing game setup, and this time the bang ran as I was used to, I watched it create the universe etc. But, still, when I entered the universe, again, no warps existed.

The third time I rebanged it, I used defaults, starting from scratch, and I got the error messages I just posted.

The fourth time I rebanged was an exact repeat of the third rebang, only this time it worked, and I'm playing in the game now.

Ok I can see I'll need a lot of help here

I created 2 alien races and set them to be active in zero days.

When I go in the game it says these races are active, however, there were no aliens to be found I checked the editor. Also, I'm not sure but I bet there are no alien planets either.

Also, I created an alien in the alien editor, it gave her a pod by default. I guess I should have designated a ship, shrug. I just wonder why the game isn't generating aliens. Run externals?


Am I going to have to rebang again to get the aliens started and if so, what options in the rebang menu to I select to use the custom aliens feature? (I know I have to have Gold selected and I do).

I've never heard of anyone having problems with big bang like that before. I'm guessing the first time you imported a .twa and didn't click the bigbang button, but that's just a guess. I'd definately like to know if other people are having the same problem.

As to the aliens, I'm not sure. I think the alien editor creates internal aliens, which are dumb and don't really do much. I'm unsure how to manually edit a single gold alien, if it's even possible. I don't really do much with aliens, but there are probably others here who can answer your question. Sorry I'm unable to.
