O.K. on my server in game A I have max planets per sector set to 6...Yet when I go into the game and look around I see corps with 12-14 planets in each sector...How is this possible?

Just because you set the max sector size on planets to 6 doesnt mean more cant be created in the sector, it just means thats how many planets are safe in that sector. if there is a sector with 10 planets and u set it to 6max then when extern runs 1 or 2 of them will colide together and create nav haz.
yes i know i cant spell.

Gotcha...ok...I thought it meant you could only create 6 per sector or move 6 into a sector...

The limit isn't a hard limit in the sense that no more can be added, but rather a limit for what can be in there at extern. Each planet over max at extern makes for a 10% chance of a collision. If it's 5 over at extern, there is a 50% chance two planets will collide. If it's 10 over, there's a 100% chance 2 planets will collide.

Heh, I know a certain sector with nearly 4000 planets in it and NONE collided. Just got the unstable planetary mass report at exturn.

With lvl. 4 citadel, this can be a strategy. Just load up with planets in a single sector so that more quasar cannons are present. You just have to move out the planets at extern.

what is really fun when some one finds your base. seconds before xtern, warps in creates 10 planets and your level 3 going to 4 colides. K3 is very good at it. ;)
