Get TWGS it is a stand alone and then you don't have to go through the bbs makes things easier also

What BBS software?

What OS on both machines?

What memmory on both machines?

How is your network set up on both machines?

Wha other programs are installed and running in the background of both machines?

Thank you.

Well I have decided to go with the twgs for now, but I am still trying to figure out what the problem with the bbs is. I still want to use the bbs if i can.

I have the bbs on a pII 400 w/ 256mb ram 30 gig 7200. I am using this as a gateway to run my dsl connection and the bbs (synchronet). the box I was using to telnet to is a p4 2 gig 512 80 gig 7200. I'm running xp pro with both. no other programs running really.

Thanks
Mike

Most bbs packages put around a 500 ms delay between two key presses. For example, if you send "sd" as a macro, it will pause 500 ms between the s and the d. This may be the lag you're noticing.

Mike,

There is no reason not to run both and link them using Rlogin. If you put your twgs on ports 2002 and 2003, SBBS can rlogin from the game menu directly into the TWGS server.

The difference is, you are running 16 bit under the BBS while the TWGS is 32 bit and doesn't dog down.

SBBS can handle it if you just do what the Docs say to enable the Rlogin.
