got someone in a game I am playing in saying a script is lagging the system. I notice no lag when I play the game and run other scripts, some other players tell me they are seeing no lag in the system when they are playing, and when we check the interval lag it shows 0 hundredths (I just pasted that in from the actual game). Unfortunately this guy is an assistant sysop playing in his own game, and he's threatening to suspend my account again. I have a local copy on my own computer and I tested this script on the local and saw no lag from it on my system either. Thanks |

lag on your own system will be less because it does not have to go over the internet at all....As for the guy wanting to suspend your account for "lagging" his system tell him he needs more bandwith or just tell him eat it and find a different server there are to many good servers out there to mess with all the bad ones. Sounds to me like he needs to get a life. When I tested my server I had a bunch of people log in and run the most intensive scripts they had just to check for lag and connection problems and it came out just fine. My server currently only has 256k down and 128k up and although this is about to change, it still handles traffic pretty well. The only time I have had any complaints is when I log in to the computer itself remotely with PC Anywhere, which is a bandwidth hog anyway. There is no way he can point to 1 person as the source of his lag. The best he can do is watch the little meter at the bottom of the TWGS screen and see what total system throughput is, it doesnt single out any 1 node. I would say come play at my server and tell him to bite it. |
