I've been running into a rather unique situation when making games and testing them. Rather than have Ferrengal as an Earth, I've made it into a 'proper' homeworld so it's not as easily taken but then when checking the planets, I find I now have 2 Ferrengals in completely different sectors, one is the standard earth, lev 3, some ftrs in the sector and some mines, the other is the edited Ferregal, shielded lev 6 with ftrs and mines in the sector? Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong to end up with this and how I can correct it? |

The earth one is probably the classic ferrengal..the one you edited was probably that of the gold ferrengi |

hmmmm...guess I'll have to look into just what planet I edited. Thought it was the stock planet that I replaced with the edited one. |

Can you set the level of Ferrengi defense,..(# of figs, shields, mines etc), or do you have to edit the planet before bang? |

If gold, you can set it in the alien editor. If classic, simply edit it in TEDIT. |

In just about every game on my server , I Bang and delete the first alien planet. It is the stock internal ferrengi planet . In most cases your not running internal aliens anyways. So it needs to be removed. In Tedit (N) planet editer (o , thats oh) for location ..make it 0 (zero). Then when you start server the alien server will generate your gold alien planets if they have them. And you can edit them now before you open the game up. Are Terra and Ferrengal the only planets generated by the bang? For instance,..do i have to create my own Alien Trader homeworld? (saw that in a game) |

If you have made the Gold Aliens and have their homeworld options set there, the planet will be made automatically, as will their space. |

The Gold planets dont always work the way they are supposed to and I havent figured out why. I can set Ferrengal to come into the game as a level 5 H with 500k fuel and 500k fighters and it will start the game as level 2 with 10k fuel and 1500 fighters and I have to go in and manually edit the planet after that. Its frustrating sometimes because the edits dont always work. |

it really sucks when you are trying to get a game up in a hurry and you relay on the software to do what it is suppose to do |

<LOL @ Strider> Shorty ; You can design the Level , Type of planet in Alien Tedit. Other then that , you have to go into the gold planet editer. Make your planet , alien only and you'll have a set planet after Bang and removel of stock alien planet ..plus Tera setting. Once you start server it should spawn planet and run .. best to make your alien sleep when players are not online. And in testing I like them to come out on day 0. So if you use TWGS's View Alien Manager and cycle on/off the Alien server you see they make those planets fast. Hope this helps. I have played in games where planets have products on them when they are made. I have never gotten this to work. I can edit the planets in tedit all I want but when they are made they are empty planets. I think this is the same reason my alien planets are not coming out right either. The software has initial values in the gold editor that ask for how much is initially on the planet when built. I would expect when I put something in for those values that they actually show up when the planet is made but they dont. I just banged 4 games yesterday and had to edit all the alien planets manually because it did not work like it is supposed to. Just for info...the alien planets are not created when the game is banged, only the internal alien planets, if they have one, and Terra. The Gold Alien planets are not created and their home bases are not created until you start the server. Thats when the alien server comes on line and creates all the alien items. |
