Hi, im currently running TWGS for TW2002 (no gold) for a group of friends from another forum. Everyone is enjoying the standard TW2002 game, but ive been playing with some nonstandard game types for people to play with for a break. Ive got a 5 death 1000 sector last man standing game, and starting today were running a 10 death 5000 sector open access tournament. But i was thinking of cooler games, and wishing there was some programs to help accomplish some cool tasks. One question is there any programs out there to monitor the game high score list and update the score on a website? I think thatd be a really cool thing to be running so people not playing or at work could find out how the game is going. Another game i was thinking would be a no ports except for specials, and tons of random planets with lots of random colonists. Make it sortof an intense battle, but it would be really cool to track deaths or kills on the high score list instead of exp. Is this even possible? |

I know somewhere I saw a tedit script to drop planets all over the universe, I think it runs from a list of sectors you want planets in. I also saw something to post current game stats to a web site but not sure where it was. As far as running a game with no ports I never tried to see how low the ports would go but I dont think you can do it because its based on a percentage not a number of ports. Would be interresting to try it tho. As far as the utilities they are out there, I have seen them just unable to find them right now, maybe someone else will know, You will need to upgrade to Gold to use the planets tho. |

Traitor has a Sysop planet generator script for twx available http://www.tw-cabal.com/scripts.html. The lowest you can set the port density to is 10%, this is set during BIGBANG. Then you can manually or with a script, remove or edit the ports through tedit. |

You can check out rev-utils at http://thereverend.coastgames.com/tradewars/files.html It is a ZOC script that will do the high scores list for you. |
