Not sure if I've gone completely stupid lately, but could someone explain how the .twa game files are imported. The 'import/export' option in the games appears to be disabled, and I can't find a way to do it during a bang. Any help would be greatly appreciated. LL |

Create a game letter from the configure menu. Click on that letter in the command center. Then go to the import game and it shoudln't be disabled. Also, your server will have to be offline while you do it. |

LL If this is your first game , you will need to make one in your configure area (server has to be off to get to it) and ADD one. Then go to Tedit and Bang it , stock just so you have data and see if the folder is made correctly. located in C:\Program Files\EIS\TWGS\Game the folder to check .. TW # and inside make sure it generated 2 directorys (for ansi files and gold game info ) Called Ansi and Gold IF it isn't there MAKE IT. Then go get a TWA file to import ( http://www.coastgames.com/files/index.php ). Now goto your TWGS server and under Command Center you will notice a directory at the top named Archive and pick import. Point it to the downloaded file if its a TWA file , if it was zipped you may have to unzip it first. Once its imported (you may be asked to conferm a couple times) You may want to go back to your hard drive C:\Program Files\EIS\TWGS\Game TW1 and check if info was written to the Ansi folder. You may have new stuff there , now go to Tedit and check things out [:)] I hope this helps. Hi, I followed your steps but it's not working - please see below. Vid Kid wrote: If this is your first game , you will need to make one in your configure area (server has to be off to get to it) and ADD one. My server is definitely off. I made a new game, except in mine I had to click the NEW button, not ADD. I left extended info blank. (I also tried it with one of the text files that came with my .twa, but that didn't work either.) Vid Kid wrote: Then go to Tedit and Bang it , I'm hoping you mean 'Command Center'... I have version 10300 do I need a newer one? Vid Kid wrote: stock just so you have data and see if the folder is made correctly. Okay so i hit the 'BIGBANG!' button while my newly created game is highlighted and then i choose the radio that says start with default values, and then i hit Z and return to start the bigbang. The directories weren't there for me, so I made them using the given capitalization, but they are empty of course. No, I got stuff written to the TW1 folder and the TW1\Gold folder, but nothing in the Ansi folder. Now what? Vid Kid wrote: You may have new stuff there , now go to Tedit and check things out [:)] I hope this helps. No new stuff for me |

Something we all have not asked .. Do you have a gold registration ? Do you have a registration ? This could be the big problem to start with. Sorry if this sounds wrong , but you can not import a gold on a non gold server. Vid |
