After I recently moved my game server to a new faster dedicated machine I began having a problem with extern. Sometimes extern doesnt run. It's strange because I would expect it to run every day or not run at all, but in the passed 10 days its not run 3 times. If any one knows a fix please let me know.

If I need to reinstall TWGS is there a way to back up or save my active games?

I've seen it before where extern gets hung up in a specific game. If that's the case, it's most likely some sort of data corruption that will require a rebang, but I'm not really sure. I'd suggest waiting and seeing if someone else answers first.

And if I remember right from a previous post, harley, you said that you can install twgs right over the old install without interfering with saved games.(to answer his secnd question)

Though this probably won't fix the extern problem.

You could just manually run it every night until the game is over.

Best thing to do is remember which game is which letter(I did not do that once). The you can copy the all the TW folders (TW1, TW2 etc) to another location. Then uninstall the software and reinstall it. You can also go in and archive the games and then reimport them. Like Harley though the error sometimes is due to a game and you have to either rebang it or rebuild id. YUKKKK
