Can you move or convert the game from a 3.09 dos game to a twgs server?
I have a older dos game still running and more and more people want to play it, but the people playing don't want to start over from scratch on the server. I just tryed copying the data files to a new game directory and the server just goes back to the main menu after you select it.

I believe there is a "Import Data" setting in the server. Maybe Im just so cold down here in FL my brain froze. Anyone wanna back me up here[:p]? Actually, I think it was in the game settings area of the server before you do a big bang. Maybe I should install it again. (Recently had to format my box, and yes, Im lazy.)

That does sound about right. I have never imported a game but it was put in just for that reason. I not sure how many people have actually used it, but I am sure somebody has tried.

I have imported and exported games, only thing I have noticed that happens is for some reason the Gold Alien planets dont move with the import export except for the Ferrengi planet. Sounds kind of strange but I have done it several times and it always deletes all alien planets but the Ferrengi planet. Never tried going from a dos game to a TWGS game tho...does the dos game have export function? I know when you try to import a game it is looking for a file with a .twa extension so if the dos game doesnt match I would say if you want the game to stay the same you have a TON of manual edits to do. If its even possible. Might just have to suck it up and bang a new game.
