Ok... I got my server running on Win XP. Now... the game works nicely and people can play, but.... the tray icon, or anything on my side, won't open. The server runs, but I can't even do anything with it. I just recently put up IIS 5.1 on here...that may be my problem, but as I remove it, I still can't get to TWGS. Any help?

There is an occasional flaw I found on XP Pro that does the same thing, if you reinstall TWGS without uninstalling, this should fix the problem and let you access the control panels.

I had the same problem when I went to register. Here is an e-mail John sent me to help me out.

I dont have a bbs so my BBS name was my name. Also it may help to copy and paste, just to make sure no letters are missed.

Here is another e-mail I have that may help you.

As soon as you lauch TWGS hit stop server. Click configure.
then click on the register tab. Enter in your TWGS Key and CODES.
Then click on "Enter TW2002/Gold Codes" enter in your BBS Name. This is the name that the program is registered to. You need this and it must be exactly as you registered and is case sensitive. Your sysop name can be whatever you want. then enter in your code for tw2002 again this must be entered in exactly and is case sensitive.
where it ask you for "Gold Code" you can enter this in or leave it blank if you dont have one.
thats about it for registering.
click on the server tab and make sure you have the IP Address of your computer in this setting. it cant be 127.0.0.1 that local. having it local wont allow others to log in.
after this you can create your games and run big bang.
Good Luck...

Hope this helps

The easiest way to do it is to highlight your entire email with the codes in it. Then right click on it and hit copy. Then open TWGS, click on configure, then register, then Paste Codes, and it will copy them from your email exactly as they are listed. I had the same problem until I did that. I didnt notice my reg codes started with a colon and didnt put it in. It is very picky and this is the easiest way to get it right.
