What types of features are planned for the alien AI to be released? Planet building, sector occupation, or what? Just a broad overview would be nice so that game ops could make some preliminary plans on how they might incorporate the AI into existing or new games.

Knowing what the AI can do (or what it is planned to do) will be a big factor on what kind of games I would like to have on a server.

I will try to get some more information out as soon as I can about what all the new Alien AI system will be capable of doing. I need to get with John and put together a list of features, some brief descriptions, etc.

Be warned however, the Alien AI is not used like setting up Gold Aliens. They will be using Alien modules, and you'll probably have to have some experience with coding in order to build the module. I believe there will be some templates included for ideas (don't hold me to this, because I'm really not sure).

Basically, depending on how complicated you can make a module, an alien race would be able to do anything that a player could do. It would just require the time and effort to build a module that sophisticated.

I'll try to post some more when I get some solid info.
