It was suggested in another thread that I post the current "working" schedule for TWGS/TW. I'll go ahead and do that now, with the disclaimer that the posted schedule may change at any time if circumstances dictate. .55 - Existing Release: Begin involving players in the minutae of reporting and discussing minor changes and bug fixes. What players and sysops feel need to be corrected/added/changed prior to a final release. Ongoing process throughout the final Beta development stage. Only minor changes considered... no adding a second stardock this late in the game, for example. ;o) .56 - Alien AI Pre-Release: code implemented but disabled pending testing and tuning. Gameplay bugs of particular interest to the upcoming WTC are eliminated. .57 - Alien AI Activation: Alien AI code is enabled providing there are no data corruption issues. JumpGate code is implemented but disabled pending testing, tuning and development of the web side. The CIM problem is addressed as one of the only bug fixes (unless other gamestoppers show up) .58 - JumpGate Pre-Release: The JumpGate website goes online for in-house testing. Server games will begin to be posted to the database but access will be limited to development team in order to fine tune the system. Minor gameplay bugs are addressed. .59 - Pre-Final Release: Last minute bug fixes, and implementation of any changes suggested by players. The most minor of fixes/updates/changes. Jumpgate TWGS code and JumpGate website is activated for sysop/player access. Any necessary fixes to JumpGate will be addressed in revision .60/Final. .60 (aka 3.12.00 Final): - Revision .59 with a bow tie. With a little bit of luck there will be a one month interval between releases, which should (tentatively) place Final sometime in late August to September. Lisa M.
