This is a stupid question but I have to ask. I have been unable to archive a game or export it.

How do I go about archiving a game to pass to another Sysop?

to export:
Stop Server
go to command center
click on the game you want to export
On the pulldown, click Archive, then export
then name it and you're done.
then mail it to your buddy.

To import:
stop server
goto configure on the main menu
add a new game.
press ok.
goto command center
click on the new game name/letter (the one you just created)
On the pulldown, click Archive, then import
find the twa file you want to import and click open.
a new window will pop up. just press import.
Then you are done.

UNLESS you want to keep the previous game map info (sector, port, dock locations, etc...) you MUST rebang it.

To rebang it while preserving the existing info:
stop server
go to the command center
press the big bang button
it'll warn you about losing data, press ok anyway.
THEN select the radial that says "start with existing data"
then press ok
when the big bang menu comes up, just press R to change the random seed. (either enter a new number or press 0 to randomize it)
then press Z.
that will make a new game with all the settings, but with a different universe map.

This doesn't work for me. I followed your instructions to the letter, but when I go to the editor and look at the Alien Races it's still just Ferrengi and regular. What am I doing wrong?

In the editor, Import/Export is always disabled. Not sure why.
