If you mean photoning from fed to an adjacent non-fed sector, I believe in most games you can as long as you are not fed safe. I may be wrong, but I think the setting in tedit controls this to restrict or allow fedsafe traders to ptorp adjacent.

If you are talking about ptorping fed from within or from an adjacent sector, that bug has been fixed to the best of my knowledge.

The feature in tedit (fedspace photons) controls the ability of fedsafe players to fire photons from inside fedspace to sectors outside fedspace. Those players who aren't fedsafe aren't affected by this setting.

In an earlier version of TWGS many moons ago someone found a BUG that allowed a 2 person tag team to photon Fed sectors. I know because I saw it happen at Star Dock to me and my corp and it created a mess that should never have happened. It was a definite BUG. John Prichett and his team of Beta developers were on that almost immediately and have eliminated that problem. It took several quick releases to solve a few other kinks that popped up while they worked on the fix. Needless to say, that problem will hopefully be an issue of the past and I have only praise for the results and the effort that was put forth eliminating that nasty BUG! It is documented if you care to check the bugs and fixes in various releases of TWGS.
