between v55 and v56 i think something like 2 years went by w/o anyone hearing from JP.
so, just be patient

Have we seen the lifespan of the game? Anything new coming down the pipeline? I've notice that the last update was back in 2004. And since then no word or anything of new coming out. Is v4 going to be reality and will it have some new features and gameplay? |

JP is working on v4, but has to take the time to do other projects too, from what I get from sharing Email with him v4 should please a lot of people in how it will be and function. We will have to wait till he is ready to release it to the public and see, but from what I got from him it should be worth it. |

He didn't give a time frame on it just that as soon as the new engine that will run it is done then soon it will be tested and released, and I suspect it might be a while, then again, it might be tomorrow. |

You got the right idea Slim but think the release issues were incorrect. Check back for bugs that were corrected for several releases. One of the major bugs that was corrected eliminated the bug that allowed photoning Fed Space and several other releases of TWGS came out in quick succession to correct other bugs that appeared that resulted in ships disappearing and becoming 'ghost ships' and appearing in CZ and such.. JP did a great job building code for current version and I applaud him! I have no clue what next release will do and that is in his hands/mind and his beta test crew. It was JP who took over when MarTech was not responding for upgrades a few years back and for only that reason I respect him and what he is doing to keep the game going in spite of the many complaints I have seen from many folks who lack patience and want instant gratification.... JP rocks and so do the few and the proud who support him! |

It will be a very, very, lonely universe in v3 soon after v4 is released. : ) But thats ok! : ) The power of v4 will draw so many new players to the game, and so many back to it that you wont be missed. |
