is the a file that contains the names that the games uses to name the prots, and is the a file tat can easyly be edited. i was tinkering with the idea of replacing names with city names from the states. thanks |

Looks like maybe PORTNAME.D8A is the file - but it's not straight text, you'd need a special editor to modify it. |

Anyone else know more about this? I'm planning to do a themed edit and i'd really love to be able to customize port names. Edit: It actually looks like it may be a fairly simple format: 1 Byte prefix flag 24 Byte null-padded name string 1 Byte suffix flag I'll do some experiments tonight to see what else I can glean. |
