Um, i guess bhis kind of basic, but:

1) How does one enter a Tradewars game? (Can you do it through the internet or is there another method? Do you have download it? Can anyone play or does one have to invited by a mamber?)

2) Does it cost money, if so, how much and whom do you pay?

3) Is there a manual somewhere that can be downloaded or purchased? (Perhaps that would answer these questions). What is the best way to learn to play?

Thanks!

Tradewars is a telnet based game. If you are using Windows, you can just START/RUN/telnet blacksun.gotdns.org.
That will get you to a Tradewars server where you can begin playing.

To learn about the game, just about anyone you run across will be willing to help. There are tons of manuals and info, the most consolidated being at http://www.tw-cabal.com.

It is free to play, so get out there and enjoy yourself.

I also recommend you find someone who can send you a copy of ZOC v4.xx and then install Revhelper...that will not cost you anything.... Zoc 5.xx will not support The Reverend's scripts. I also recommend you check SWATH and download TWX and any available scripts for that. This is the wrong forum for that question so you might check the Helpers and Scripts forum?

Welcome Herostratus,

I hope you find the game of Tradwars as fun and enjoyable as I do.

Can I ask you a question how did you hear about tradewars?

Most people used to play back in the BBS days and are returning to relive there youth.
