Howdy Y’all:

I have a question for you. A well trusted user contacted me this evening and requested I make a slight change in game “A,” Aurora Borealis. In “Editors,” under “General Editor Two,” “Interactive Sub-Prompts” is normally marked “NO.” He wants it changed to “YES.”
I don’t know enough about it to argue but feel the need to investigate. Do any of you cats out there know of any good reason(s) I should not make such an adjustment?

Regards,

Ken,
Aileron,
Trahern,
Call mw whatever you wish … that is anything but late for dinner! ;-)

If you're on dock and there's a bunch of fighits
during the time, then you lift... it sucks. ISPs off mean that at
various prompts you don't get certain things.

Perhaps the biggest impact in today's play is w/ plock. You do get
the "fighter lock is decaying" message and can drop on that, however
you don't that until after the fig is taken out... which is rather late
in the process. With them on you get limpet activated msgs too and can
trigger on either them or the "enters sector" message... both of which
mean you can land on someone and trap them in your IG.

In an unlim this is one of the only ways to kill a smart gridder,
which means that without ISPs on it's very tough to make plock work.

In a turns game... IMO it's not quite as important.

When in doubt turn them on. There's really no reason to not have them on.

Thank you, Sir. I'll keep that in mind. It does help me understand the user's reasoning.
