Also do you use Rlogin for the admin login from the telnet? if not then you need to change it to Telnet, and set the admin port to either the stock 2003 and set a admin password, or change the admin port to what you want and set an admin pass, also for the admin port you use, you will need a port forward to it too.
Couldn't get the server to come up, you have it as a service or on regular program, as a service the program still runs when you logoff, as a regular program it will stop when you logoff. and this will cause the connection problem I am getting.
if you have it running as a regular program then you can't logoff, in order to keep the twgs running, cause soon as you logoff, the twgs stops running.

Er.. Rlogin - not at the present, Rlogin I haven't read about how or what to use to be honest.. 100% new on this side of the fence.
It wasn't available until I changed the port to 2003, then the drop down became availabe, I selected the Rlogin now (what is better ?)
I lost it (greyed out) but only got it back when I clicked the box for Admin password and clicked in the text box, then it became availabe again.. strange..
Ok now have Rlogin selected, Port 2003 No admin password..

Oh and you asked if its a service or a regular program? I don't know what I set it up as, I think a service. Either way I don't log off my system unless I am rebooting for whatever reason.
I don't see it listed as a Service under the Admin tools of windows.. so unless its named something cryptic, then no, not a service.. better that way?? If so how do I get it there?
Try it now: telnet://72.193.10.78:23/
When I click to it from the forum, it won't work, but if I type it in the browser it works, and via the command prompt. Ideas?

No way.. I must be able to connect via my home network still..
I am at a loss.. ports are open, TWGS is tuned as far as I know..
Let me try a few other things.. maybe I need to figure out how you put it on a website and go that way.
Ok... disabled the fire wall..
Any luck?

Doing the Jiggy.. So the internal firewall is what was keeping the connection from working, is this normal for everyone else. Mine is a Linksys.

If your router has a firewall, yes, you'd need to set that too. =)

Like Sing said set your routers firewall to allow it and the port forwarding to your system and you are in business, you already have the port forwarding working, just set the firewall to allow the port. then you are in business. And have the protection of your firewall where it is needed.

I can't find anything about how to set up the firewall in port forwarding.. but here is the help info from the routers firewall page.
Firewall
Firewall Protection
Enable or disable the SPI firewall.
Block WAN Request
By enabling the Block WAN Request feature, you can prevent your network from being "pinged," or detected, by other Internet users. The Block WAN Request feature also reinforces your network security by hiding your network ports. Both functions of the Block WAN Request feature make it more difficult for outside users to work their way into your network. This feature is enabled by default. Uncheck to disable this feature.
Filter Multicast
Enable this option if you do not wish to receive multicast traffic that is sometime sent by your ISP.
Filter Internet NAT Redirection
This feature uses Port Forwarding to prevent access to local servers from your local networked computers.
Filter IDENT (Port 113)
Prevents outside intruders from attacking the router through the internet using service port 113. Select Enable to prevent attack through this service port. However, some applications may require this service port to be available. If needed, uncheck to allow those applications to work
So going in order it should be:
Firewall Protection: On
Block WAN Request: Off Filter Multicast: On Filter Internet NAT Redirection: Off Filter IDENT (Port 113): On
What say ye to those settings? If so I will set them and then if someone can go see if they can still get to the game?
Thanks all
