Maybe I am mising somehting.. Is there a way to set fed beacons to (or not) let transports and transwarps enter fedspace with a beacon lock? Is this an adjustable setting or fixed? I thought at least in the older versions this was standard, did this change?

You can lock if you have a commision. I don't know of any other way to twarp into fed w/o it.

Yea, FedSpace Locks are a privilege given to Commissioned players, with 500 or greater alignment, a(fter requesting it at the Police Station.) This is an internal setting and can't be modified.

1000 alignment. At 500 you can request a commish (which bumps you up to 1000) but you won't get a lock till you actually have 1000 alignment.

There is an exception I don't if this is an error or a in-game convenience, although it is probably an error. If you request a Commission before you get to 500 you will be denied, but once you reach 500 it will be automatically given to you bringing you up to 1,000. I think when you attempt to warp into FedSpace it allows you to and readjusts your Alignment at that time.

Not automatically, and not a bug, and no it doesn't readjust your alignment.

If you have under 500 you cannot get a commish until you get 500. Then you just go to the police station and request it. Contrary to some texts out there you can do this as often as you want to recommish after killing someone, provided your alignment stays above 500. Once you reach 500 you can commish at any time, which is nothing is nothing more than having over 1000 alignment. If you pop a red and get over 1k alignment you are considered automatically commissioned and can warp to fed (altho your exp may make you unfedsafe). If you attempt to twarp BEFORE you have 1000 alignment you will NOT get a lock. Had this happen just yesterday in a game, it happens all the time tho when you use a red's figs to commish cheap or if you're in an alignment-balanced game and pop someone. It will not automatically adjust your alignment.

Ok, maybe that is what happened then, was a long time ago, I just remembered being Commissioned automatically, I must have forgot that I was previously Commed! I R stupid, but at lest I did gradumatate from Hi Skewl! [:D]
